Antunes Gives Back by Cleaning Gary-Kehoe Pond Reservoir
Antunes is hosting Annual Village Pond and Stream Clean-up
CAROL STEAM, IL – Antunes, industry leading foodservice equipment manufacturer, is giving back by hosting their Annual Village Pond and Stream Clean-up on May 19, 2022. In partnership with the International WeLoveU Foundation, Antunes team members are volunteering to clean the Gary-Kehoe Pond Reservoir in Carol Stream, IL from 2:30-4:30 pm.
“The Annual Village and Pond Clean-up is among the many ways Antunes can help our community. Our team has participated in this event for several years and they have so much fun with it, said Jane Bullock, Chief Purpose Office at Antunes. “When we are finished, we count up the bags of garbage and celebrate! At Antunes, giving back and community support is essential, so we’re thrilled to help out!”
Pushed to succeed by purpose, 55 Antunes team members and more than 20 WeLoveU volunteers are teaming up to remove waste and liter from the 140-acre territory. The Gary-Kehoe Pond Reservoir is a major facility for stormwater management locally. The upkeep and cleanliness of this reservoir is essential in preserving and enhancing waterways.
“We encourage our volunteers to invite their neighbors and friends to our clean-ups in hopes of promoting a culture of caring for others and consideration for the environment,” said Marisol Almaraz, Inside Sales Coordinator and WeLoveU Volunteer. “Seeing that Antunes, a global corporation located so near to our Bloomingdale Chapter, shares the same goals and initiatives of sustainability, it feels so natural and obvious to join forces with them in their annual pond cleanup.”
This is the 2nd year that the WeLoveU team has generously provided their support by volunteering side by side with the Antunes team. The WeLoveU teams’ goal to inspire others and enhance ecosystem resilience aligns with Antunes Company Purpose Statement which unites the groups.

The global foodservice equipment manufacturer has hosted 10 previous pond cleaning, volunteered supported events to give back to the community.
