CAROL STREAM, IL – Antunes, a family owned and operated company specializing in the manufacturing of foodservice equipment, recently donated $5,000 to Ronald McDonald House Charities (RMHC).
To promote fitness and raise money for RMHC, Antunes donated money for each step that its team members took during the McDonald’s Worldwide Convention, held in April. The company’s goal was to raise $5,000 by walking 500,000 steps.
“We had the idea of turning our steps at the show into a way to raise money for this worthy cause,” said Bill Hickey, EVP, McDonald’s Business for Antunes. “We picked an attainable goal, but were surprised to find that we met that goal in just two days. After the four-day convention was over, our team had totaled 967,676 steps — leading to the $5,000 donation to RHMC.”
