CAROL STREAM, IL – Antunes, a family owned and operated company specializing in the manufacturing of foodservice equipment, was recently named Company of the Year by its local chapter of APICS, the premier professional association for supply chain management.
Each year, the APICS Fox River chapter, which serves the business community in the western suburbs of Chicago, recognizes companies that have made a substantial positive impact over the past year through their outstanding involvement and support.
The Fox River chapter named Antunes’ deep commitment to continuing education as the catalyst for giving the company the honor. Cited examples included several Antunes employees joining APICS this year, and seven members completing the advanced Certified Supply Chain Professional course — in addition to the dozens that have completed Certified in Production and Inventory Management (CPIM) modules in recent years.
Antunes received the award at the chapter’s recognition dinner, held May 17, 2017.
“Our company has benefitted from the exceptional programs and services provided by the Fox River chapter of APICS, and we are honored to be recognized by the organization for our focus on professional education and continued support of the supply chain industry,” said Michael De Boni, CPIM, vice president of operations at Antunes.
